Billing for Blood transfusion

If our physician a Gastroenterologist sent his patient to the hematology unit as an out patient for a blood transfusion and the patient is transfused by the nurse while the Attending covering the unit is there does the attending covering have to sign off on the report in order to bill even thou he has never seen this patient before?

Well, yes attending covering require to sign the patient's hematology report after the transfusion even the attending covering not seen the patient earlier.
