Billing for "74185" Renal Angiogram done at Outpatient Radiology Facility

Dr giuliano Posted Thu 10th of March, 2011 18:54:16 PM

I have been looking for information regarding Medicare reimbursement for Renal Angiogram performed at a freestanding outpatient facility. I ran across some information that stated that this exam was not payable for Hospital Outpatient "Facility" but was not sure if this also applied to our center. Our center is not affiliated with any hospital, but I want to be sure before we schedule any exams. Thank you.

I have found some Free Standing Facilities who perform Renal Angiography. I in the process to find a CMS guideline regarding the CMS policy for its place of service. Give me some time.
