Barretts Esophagitis

I am confused on which of the two codes should be used for the treatment of Barretts,. 43270 or 43257. I have been using 43270 but am now questioning if it should be 43257. Can you please the "Halo" for Barretts

CPT code 43270 is correct to report for ablation of Barrett’s esophagus but some payers like Blue Cross Anthem may consider this as investigational and not medically necessary. In that case you need to follow the payer specific reimbursement guidelines.
