Good Morning. I hope all is well. A removal of a post auricular BAHA stainless steel abutement was preformed in the office. I'm not sure what CPT code to used for this. Thank you.

Hi Sarah,

Thank you for your question.

The appropriate code to bill for removal of a post auricular BAHA stainless steel abutement is CPT 69711 (Removal or repair of electromagnetic bone conduction hearing device in temporal bone).

However, the above mentioned procedure if performed in office.

“Services rendered in the office, home, or hospital, consultations, and other medical services are listed in the Evaluation and Management Services section (99201-99499).

Feel free to ask for any further query.
