AVR with aortic root enlargement

Becky Posted Tue 23rd of December, 2014 22:04:19 PM

AVR with aortic root enlargement--would be coded as 33405 and would code 33860 be the root enlargement? Thank you

You should use code 33411, Replacement, aortic valve; with aortic annulus enlargement, noncoronary sinus.

Aortic sinus is the tightest part of the aortic root.

Thanks !!
