Autograft 3

Vaida Posted Wed 19th of November, 2014 10:49:49 AM

Hi. I have some doubts about Autografts. Can you please take a look at the example bellow and give us proper CPT codes and modifiers for them.

Adult patient with 2 split-thickness autografts on left lower arm 5x15 cm (75cm²), and scalp 8x8cm (64 cm²), and one tissue cultured skin autograft on right leg 5x15 cm (75cm²).

Thank you!

Thanks for your question. For this case you would bill 15100; Split-thickness autograft, trunk, arms, legs; first 100 sq cm or less, or 1% of body area of infants and children (except 15050) and 15120; Split-thickness autograft, face, scalp, eyelids, mouth, neck, ears, orbits, genitalia, hands, feet, and/or multiple digits; first 100 sq cm or less, or 1% of body area of infants and children (except 15050). You would also bill 15150; Tissue cultured skin autograft, trunk, arms, legs; first 25 sq cm or less and 15151; Tissue cultured skin autograft, trunk, arms, legs; additional 1 sq cm to 75 sq cm (List separately in addition to code for primary procedure).
