PATIENT HAD A DUAL CHAMBER PACEMAKER INSERTION 01/12/19 ON 1/14/19 PACEMAKER LEAD DISLODGEMENT PREVIOUS POCKET WAS PREPPED AND DRAPED . IT WAS ANESTHETIZED WITH LIDOCIANE INCISION WAS REOPENED OLD BLOOD AND SECRETIONS WER SUCTIONED OUT. ARTIAL LEAD WAS DISCONNECTED. USING A J TYPE STYLETTE UNDER GUIDANCE AND FLUOROSCOPY IT WAS REPOSITIONED IN THE RIGHT ATRIAL APPENDAGE AND SCREWED IN PLACE. I DONT KNOW IF THIS IS CORRECT 33216-78, 33234-51. PLEAS ADVISE. Thanks for your question.

As per the documentation provided code 33216 with modifier 78 is appropriate to use. Code 33234 shouldn't be billed because removal of transvenous pacemaker electrode(s); single lead system, atrial or ventricular has not performed instead, only repositioning is done.
