Is anyone have trouble getting paid for an assist for umb hernia repair; we're having a heck of a time, even with Medicare, even tho CCI shows an assist can be paid (2)/thanks. Kathy Adams

The concept seems to be correct. Check the following for the sake of managing the denial:
1. Surgery in previous 90 days.
2. Surgery performed on the same day or the next day.

With the check on the above info, it will be easier to handle the denial pertianing to umbilical hernia.
