Arthroscopic Resection of Inferior Pole of the Patella

Sally Posted Mon 13th of February, 2017 13:51:04 PM
MD performed arthroscopic knee debridement, lysis of adhesions and resection of the inferior pole of the patella. 29884 should cover the lysis, 29877 bundles with that but what code would cover the resection? Suggestions? Thanks!

There is no specific CPT code for arthroscopically resection of inferior pole of the patella, so the appropriate code will be 29999.

The correct codes for above mentioned procedure will be 29884 and 29999. Also attach operative report along with CPT codes to support unlisted code.
