We are a freestanding Ambulatory Surgery Center and when Dr. performs the above procedure, we use CPT 29999. Medicare denies this as "the procedure code/bill type is inconsistent with the place of service. Is there anything we can appeal with Medicare, or will it always deny for place of service?

Medicare does not make payment for the services billed under CPT code 29999 at POS 24. Please find below the link from DHHS appeals board for better understanding.
