When billing ARNP as a surgical assist do you use modifier AS and 80?

You are correct both modifiers are required. Modifier 80 would be used for a surgical assistant and modifier AS would be used to show that the assistant was a physician assistant, nurse practitioner, or clinical nurse specialist providing the services.

Hope this helps.
