We have the following case: APPENDIX-APPENDECTOMY: - APPENDIX WITH A TUBULOVILLOUS ADENOMA (1.0 CM). - MARGIN IS NEGATIVE FOR ADENOMA. What is the most appropriate CPT code? 88304 vs 88307?

Hi Christine,

CPT code 88304 would be the most appropriate code. CPT code 88307 does not have appendix in the code descriptor and hence should not be used as a pathology code for appendix.
