My provider is repairing a large abdominal aortic aneurysm and bilateral common iliac aneurysms with an aorto-iliac by pass graft. I cam up with 31531 and 35638, but should I be billing both or just one.
SuperCoder Posted 3 month(s) ago

Hi,

As per the above scenario cpt code 35638 seems appropriate. CPT code 31531 found irrelevant to the above scenario.

Hope this helps!

Sorry...numbers were transposed incorrectly as the second code should have been 35131
SuperCoder Posted 3 month(s) ago

Hi,

Above given both CPT's 35131 & 35638 are billable for the given scenario.

Hope this helps!
