Yes, in radiology the afterhour codes 99050 is applicable if radiologists are asked to read xrays at times other than regularly scheduled office hours, or days when the office is normally closed (eg, holidays, Saturday or Sunday), in addition to basic service

In radiology the afterhour code 99051 is applicable if radiologists are asked to read xrays during regularly scheduled evening, weekend, or holiday office hours, in addition to basic service

As you have said, even 99058 is also applicable radiologists are asked to read xrays on an emergency basis and disrupting their routine work

How does a radiologist set their regular hrs

SuperCoder Answered Fri 20th of May, 2011 16:41:28 PM

This can be well observaed in small practices who also provide radiology services along with other services. This can also be well observed in centers providing radiology services. The regular hours here is the duration normally the office remains open for providing radiology services.
