Achilles Tendon and/or Peroneal Brevis/Longus Tendon Debridement? Excision?

Kirsten Posted Thu 21st of January, 2016 12:14:04 PM

The Doc incises the skin and opens the retinaculum. The tendons have tenosynovitis as well as polypoid attachments to the tendon(s). He sharply excises these, repairs the previously incised retinaculum with Ethibond sutures, irrigates the wound and closes in layered fashion. Placed in walker boot for 6 weeks.
I am looking at 27630, with an XS modifier for separate structures since 2 separate tendons were treated.
I looked at 11043, put this procedure is more in depth than that. Also, 11043 does not have any global days. Which 90 days should be warranted. Please advise.

In the documentation you have mentioned it seems only one code will go 27630.
