Acetic Acid, cerumenex, and Q tips

Tammy Posted Mon 11th of January, 2016 08:41:07 AM

If acetic acid, cerumenex, or Q tips is used for cerumen removal, are you to use an E/M code only and not the 69209 & 69210.

I think you can use code 69209 as it is used for irrigation and if physician is using acetic acid and cerumenex i think he is irrigating to remove the wax.
