These procedures performed together always throw me for a loop. Fluoroscopy used and the patient had a C5 Corpectomy, PEEK structural allograft was placed, C6-7 ACDF and PEEK structural allograft was placed (patient had a prior fusion from C4-5, so the PEEK cage was put into the interspace at the C4 to high C5 level down to the C6 level). The question is, can you bill the 63081 (C5), 22854, 22551 -59 (C6-7), 22853, 20931, 77003?

Based on the provided documentation, you may use the following codes:
- 77003 – for fluoroscopy
- 63081 – for C5 corpectomy
- 22551-59 – for c6-7 ACDF. This code has CCI edit with code 63081, so append modifier 59
- 20931 – PEEK structural allograft
- 22854 – for PEEK cage
Please note that code 22854 has been used for PEEK cage into the interspace but I found no documentation where we can use code 22853. So, we request you to look into the medical record carefully and find if you can bill code 22853.
Note: We have provided these codes just based on the provided limited documentation. There may be changes based on the complete report. So, please correlate these codes with the medical record carefully before billing.
Please feel free to write if you have any question.

So the provider did the Corpectomy at the C5 (63081), ACDF at the C6-7 (22551-59), Placement of PEEK structural cages at C5 (22854) and C6-7 (22853?). Can the 22853 and 22854 be billed together? There were two cages placed for Corpectomy and ACDF.

Yes, codes 22853 and 22854 can be billed together if performed separately.
