Do you know of another code or would we just charge the 99211 if patients are coming in our office and the nurse is flushing and re dressing patients dialysis catheters?

Hi Christine,

CPT 99211 is the correct code for re dressing.

However, if re dressing is within the 10 to 90 days of any minor or major surgery e.g kidney transplant, then re-dressing will be included in global day, it will not be seperately paid. Or you can say routine post-procedure care (because some procedures have a global period during which associated care is considered part of the payment for the procedure). Thank you.
