Hi,

PC/TC indicator of CPT code 96450 is 0 which means physician service codes. The concept of professional (26) and technical component (TC) does not apply since physician services cannot be split into professional and technical components. Modifiers 26 and TC cannot be used with these codes. This means the physician and the hospital cannot bill for their services separately.

This code should be billed as a global code by the facility. Facility would later pay the doctor for his professional services.

Hope this helps!
