CPT says that 96118 is also used in those circumstances when additional time is necessary to integrate other sources of clinical data. Would this be the appropriate code to use when DNA testing is ordered and the doctor discusses the results with the patient? Or when we swab DNA? Thank you.

CPT code 96118 is specific to neuropsychological or neurobehavioral testing only. We cannot use this code for DNA testing.
