Does CPT 93621 have to include left atrial pacing in order for the physician or facility to it?
In otherwords the physician completes 93620 and also has a sheath with electrodes in the CS where he does stimulation and recordings with mapping of other areas without doing actual left atrial pacing.

Code 93621 includes left atrial pacing and recording from coronary sinus. If the physician does not perform these services, then you may need to append mod-52 to indicate reduced services.

Hospital cannot use modifier 52 if anesthesia of any type has been given, and these cases are always done with anything from deep sedation to general.
