58611

Tammy Posted Mon 21st of December, 2015 08:24:13 AM

ok so patient has a 59514 / o34.21, o99.210, Z3a.38, Z37.0
and 58611 / Z30.2
However Mdwise denied the 58611. I was told by mdwise that it needs to include dx's related to the delivery hospital stay. My question is, is this something new? I thought by adding the Z30.2 would be appropriate and not to include the delivery please let me know your thoughts.

Hi,

As rightly coded above, for procedure 58611, Z30.2 is the only appropriate diagnosis code.
