Can you please review the documentation and advise if we would be correct in billing 29879 and 29880?
...I used a standard medial and lateral parapatellar portal. I looked in the patellofemoral joint. The femoral trochlea looked excellent. It was grade-2 injury to the medial aspect of the patella. I used a shaver to remove all the loosely attached pieces of cartilage. Any hard and healthy articular cartilage was left intact. After thorough abrasion chondroplasty, I probed the remaining surface and found it to be stable. Examination of the medial, lateral gutters of the suprapatellar pouch revealed no evidence of any loose bodies. Examination of the medical joint line revealed an intact medial femoral condyle, tibial plateau and a complex tear of the posterior horn of the medial meniscus. I used a basket forceps to resect the torn portion of the meniscus. I used a shaver to smooth the rim of the remainder of the meniscus.....
