11012 INCLUSIVE TO 11760

grace Posted Wed 14th of August, 2019 15:48:26 PM
Our provider performed the following : 11012, 26765 F7 59 and 11760 F7 59 . The 11012 is being denied for being inclusive to 11760 is this correct? We billed the 11012 for the displaced fracture irrigation debridement and 11760 for nail bed laceration.

Hi Grace,

Thanks for your question

As per the codes mentioned above, there is no CCI conflict between these codes. These codes can be billed together. However, the documentation should clearly mention in its medical records that there was debridement of skin, tissue, muscle fascia as well as bone. It is important to have these details on the document to get this code paid. You may send us detailed report to further assist you or get more clarity on these codes. Thank you.
