About Our Speaker
Linda Smith
Linda Smith, CPC-I, CMBS, PCS, has had more than 30 years of experience as a business manager in the healthcare industry. She developed a training and consulting company whose mission is to accommodate the needs of local healthcare facilities, practices, providers and office staff . Smith is a certified professional coder and member of the American Academy of Professional Coders. She has also earned the credentials of "E/M Specialist" and an approved "Professional Medical Coding Curriculum Instructor" through the American Academy of Professional Coders. She is a past presenter at annual conferences for the various AAPC Chapters in the Upstate NY area. Smith is a Certified Medical Billing Specialist and is also an instructor for the Medical Association of Biller's Medical Billing Specialist certification program. She is also an instructor through Bryant and Stratton Professional Skills Center in Syracuse and Albany. She provides training in medical ethics, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medical coding and billing, and provides continuing education workshops. She is also a member of the Upstate Medicare Program Education and Training Provider Advisory Group, and has been a presenter at their annual spring conferences for the past several years.
