FAQ: What Is the NDC ↔ CPT®/HCPCS CrossReference?

If your SuperCoder subscription includes the NDC ↔ CPT®/HCPCS CrossReference, you can use the tool to search for national drug code (NDC) and supply code information in three ways. The source of the data is Medicare.

1. Search a CPT® or HCPCS code to see the drugs that cross to that code. You’ll see the NDC, drug name, labeler, HCPCS dosage, and billing unit.

2. Search an NDC to see the code(s) that cross to the drug. You’ll see the code’s short descriptor, drug name, labeler, HCPCS dosage, and billing unit.

3. Search a drug name to see the code(s) that cross to the drug. You’ll see the code’s short descriptor, NDC, labeler, HCPCS dosage, and billing unit.

Tip: Once logged in, you can access the NDC ↔ CPT®/HCPCS CrossReference on the Coding Tools page, on the tool’s dedicated page, or on a code details page.
