   Is the code for a Radiofrequency of the inguinal neuroma 64640 or an unlisted code.

   Can I bill this code twice? (Physician did a Phenol injection and Radiofrequency on the injuinal neuroma)

   Hi, Amy. You should be able to bill 64640 twice, if you have clear documentation from your physician that he completed two different injections. Some payers will want you to append modifier 51 to one of the codes, but others want you to report 2 units of 64640 on the same line. Double check your payer's policy before submitting, to be sure you follow their guidelines.
