we are being denied by Medicaid for anesthesia charges of insertion of a central line - we used 36556 - does anyone know of any other anesthesia codes we should have used (charges were put in by CRNA)

Make sure the guidelines for Medicaid cover the central line. Some Medicaid payers do not cover them.

How about 00532. Also, do note that some payers require this code to be billed with either G8 or Qs modifier.
