  1. My physician did a partial vulvectomy to remove a labial lesion. He then had to do a labioplasty on the other side to match the side he did a partial vulvectomy on. Can you bill both 56620 and 15839 since he did two seperate procedures?

  2. You have been logical to think like the way you said, but from many aspects it is highly probable to get denied, as because LT or RT modifier is not compatible to these CPTs.

    At the same time the cpt 15839 is a procedure which we are going to bill just for the sake to match the vulvectomy on the other side, otherwise it doesn't have no medical reasons, thus can be considered for cosmetic or unnecessary.
    We can simply code:
    15839
    56620-51
    and make a wait and watch of the result of such billing; to get a fincal conclusion of Insurance trend.
