   How was the ureter repaired? Was it reimplanted? If so, you should report 50780 (Ureteroneocystostomy; anastomosis of single ureter to bladder) for the ureteral reimplant. If the ureter wasn't reimplanted, another code may be better. Let me know the specifics if this code isn't appropriate and I will take another look.

   The diagnosis code would be 867.2 (Injury to ureter).

   Keep in mind that if the repair took place during another surgery, the codes may be bundled so be sure you check the CCI edits.
