  1. If a patient comes in and the provider has left an order for an unna boot but doesn't see the patient at this visit and a nurse applies the ordered unna boot, can she only charge a '99211' or can she charge '29580'?

  2. As per guideline, to report 29580, physician's presence is essential and should applies unna boot of a patient. If physician only orders and left and nurse applies the ordered unna boot, she should only charge 99211. To report 29580, physician's presence is needed.

  3. Thank you...that's helpful
