  1. I understand that if we have a Comprehensive Metabolic panel and a Renal Panel on the same DOS that the Renal Panel needs to be credited. In review it is saying that if credited a phosphate needs to be added '84100'. If the account has a Phosphate already for the same DOS and the same time as the Renal panel "should another Phosphate be added to the account"?

  2. See the list of individual test components included in each basic panel. If you will bill both Panels you will get denial with Renal Panel. To get reimbursement of all the work done, you can bill Comprehensive Metabolic Panel(which includes all tests of Renal Panel except Phosphate) and bill 84100 as an individual test.
