  1. is there a cpt code for pinning the ears back it was not done for cosmetic reasons can anyone help please

  2. Ear pinning is also known as otoplasty. This surgical procedure involves exposing and reshaping the deformed ear cartilages, creating the missing ear folds, and positioning the ears in proper location adjacent to the mastoid bones of the skull. The correct code to use for the procedure is 69300 (Otoplasty, protruding ear, with or without size reduction).
Now the ICD codes that you map to this CPT defines if it is cosmetic or not. What exactly is the medical necessity you didn't mention.
