  1. IF I HAVE A DOCUMENTED CARE PLAN OF MEDICAL TREATMENT NECESSITY, THE THERAPISTS OR NON PHYISCIAN EDUCATORS ARE EMPLOYED BY ME, CAN I BILL WITH MODIFIERS A PHYSICAL THERAPY CODE WIHT0UT A PHYSICAL THERAPIST?

WHAT ARE THE GC, ETC MODIFIERS?
    PLEASE HELP!

  2. GC modifier indicates that the service has been performed in part by a resident under the direction of a teaching physician and it certifies that the teaching physician was present during the key portion of the service and was immediately available during other portions of the service.

So based upon this description, if it supports your care plan of medical necessity, then definitely you could bill those codes with GC modifier and it is appropriate for medicare.
