  1. What Dx should I use for 19303 -58 when the path results are negative? The PT had returned into OR because the path report from a resent lumpectomy said the carcinoma was very close to the edge of the margin. The surgeon opted to do simple mastectomy next. This is not a prophylactic procedure.

  2. If during the 2nd visit (for mastectomy simple), no more carcinoma was there, then you could code V10.3 as primary Dx, for code 19303-58. If as per path report, any carcinoma is still present which is required to be removed during 2nd visit, then code 174.x as per documentation of carcinoma location.
