  1. I have a patient that we did PT for and he is medicaid through another healthcare policy. We recieved authorization but when I submitted my claims the denial was "Code is not Medicaid Allowable" What codes do I bill? I billed 97112 x 3 units & 97140 x 1 unit.
    Thanks.

  2. Medicaid pay lastly when patient doen't have any another insurance. if patient have some other insurance, bill to that insurance. if patient only have medicaid, then re-appeal with letter of authorization.

  3. OK I spoke to someone at ins. co and they stated that the codes I billed are not approved my medicaid. Are there any special CPT codes I can bill for Medicaid??

  4. Try billing using the following modifiers in three line items.
    97112-GP
    97112-GP,59
    97112-GP,59
    Hope this helps.
