  1. Which cpt codes are use for billing inpatient rehab.

  2. You should use code from initial hospital care 99221-99223/subsequent care 99231-99233 as per the levels of Hx, exam, and MDM with POS 61 (Comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation facility).

  4. Sorry, what do you mean by Comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation facility.

  5. Comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation facility means a facility that provides comprehensive rehabilitation services under the supervision of a physician to inpatients with physical disabilities. Simply mean the place where the services is being rendered. In POS 61, services should be physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, social or phychological services, and orthotics and prosthetic services. So as per the PLACE OF SERVICE, you should attach POS code for that. Apart from that, sometimes POS 21 is also required for a variety of medical conditions.
