   Physician documents "the distal one third of the metatarsal was removed". Planned procedure was a first MT head resection with removal of sesamoid bone for chronic ulceration. Does this "one-third" encompass the MT head and which code is most appropriate?

   Initially it was written, distal one-third, but later on it has been more specific by mentioning the term "First metatarsal head" resection.
   So, the code would be 28111.
