  1. We have been denied by almost every insurance stating "only one fetal non-stress interp is allowed per day" (59025-26). How do you get paid on more than one per day if the patient is pregnant with multiple fetuses?

  2. "If an NST is being done for more than one fetus, you must report the second one with a modifier 59 and make sure the multiple gestation diagnosis is reported. There must a separate report and interpretation for each fetus the NST is performed on. In general, payers will not reimburse for more than one NST per day on a single fetus and this is certainly not an ACOG recommendation." ~ Melanie Witt
