  1. My physician saw a new patient and performed a new patient evaluation and would like to bill 99203-25 and then performed a 31237-50.

The question I have is whether I need to append modifiers to show that this work was done within the global period? The patient had NSR/FESS surgery but by a different physican in Chicago, IL over Christmas break and was unable to attend his post-operative appointments because he is a student here in Iowa. He was new to our practice.
I have looked at all the modifiers and do not see any specific to another physician during the post operative period. I am wondering if I would be required to use modifier -55, since we are primarily providing post-operative care because we did not perform the surgery.

  2. Can you plz crosscheck if the Tax ID of your doctor is same as that of the other doctor?
