  1. I was wondering if my dx code 790.4 is the same thing for this dx?
In the report it states mild Transaminitis, but in the ICD-9-CM book as I have the 2011 version, it only shows Transaminasemia? The code for that is 790.4. DOes it mean the same thing? Is this code correct?

    Thanks,

    Amy Bedford-CPC

  2. When liver enzymes which belong inside the cells leak out into the blood stream, this is called transaminitis which is correctly depicted by 790.4
