  1. hat code would you use for colocutaneous fistula? there is one for colon 569.81 and one for cutaneous 686.9, but not a combined one.

  2. 569.81 seems more on target. This Blue Cross policy states 569.81 is Fistula of intestine, excluding rectum and anus (includes enterocutaneous or colocutaneous fistula) (https://www.bcidaho.com/providers/medical_policies/sur/mp_701123.asp).

    Also, 686.9 has a note that it excludes fistula to skin from internal organ.
