   Modifier that can be used with code 29580 are 50,51,52,58,59,73,74,76,LT, RT.

   Use a 25 modifier with the E & M code if it is the first time you saw the patient for decision to place Unna Boot. If you see the patient this week and tell the patient to come back next week for change of the Unna Boot and you don't see him for any other diagnosis then you only charge the Unna Boot for that visit.
   Example: New patient comes in with Ulcer on right leg Doctor decides to place Unna Boot and tells the patient to come back next week for Unna Boot change. You would use 99203-25, 29580-RT for this first visit and use 29580-RT on the next week visit unless you see them for a diagnosis that is not related to the Unna Boot. I hope this makes sense and I hope this helps.
