  1. can you bill for debridment during a post op global period?

  2. That depends on the location of the service performed. If the debridement is being done in an OT, then you can bill a separate post-op debridement CPT code with modifier 78 appended to the code. If it's a very minor Px for which the surgeon does not require to take back the Pt. to the OR, then it's inclusive of the global period and no separate billing should be done.
