   We are coding a double procedure and the use of an assistant physician. When we code
   Primary doctor 60240 and 60500-59
   Assistant doctor 60240-80 and 60500-80-59
   we get a message saying CCI edit says codes are bundled but it does qualify for a modifier if needed.

   I think you don't have any doubt regarding usage of coding, but I presume you have issues regarding denials, because I have witnessed denials with these coding combinations.
   Please clarify the exact question?

   Yes we received an denial for this. However, before we have been paid. However in our system we get a message saying CCI edit says codes are bundled but it does qualify for a modifier if needed. Is the 60240 bundled in the 60500
