  1. Can diagnosis code V13.65 be billed as the primary diagnosis for a Medicare patient? The service was an echocardiogram with CPT 93303. This is the only appropriate code from the list of diagnosis codes linked to CPT 93303. The place of service is outpatient.

  2. To check the LCD, plz let me know the State(locality).

  3. The state is Ohio. Thank you.

  4. Medicare doesn't have coverage for V13.65 as Primary Dx for the state Ohio.
We can help out with a Demo on LCD feature in SuperCoder. Plz let me know your convenient time and contact details.

  5. I do see the LCD feature and tried it out successfully. Should CPT 93303 be billed when the patient has a CORRECTED congenital anomaly or should CPT code range 93306-93308 be used instead? Thank you again for your help.

  6. Yes, you can use 93306-93308 instead. Please be careful for documentation of Spectral Doppler or color flow doppler echocardiography and pick the code appropriately.
