Does anyone have any idea how long we need to keep the paper trail on the Medicare & insurance eob's. I've heard different opions some say 5-yrs some 7-yrs. Any feedback would be appreciated

Seven years seems to be the time you need to retain your EOB documents. DocuVantage (www.docuvantage.com) and San Diego County Medical Society (www.sdcmc.org) are some of the organizations who have clearly specified that EOBs should be stored for a period of seven years. You may contact your payers to know what they have to say on this.
