Are the G codes for Medicare only? Can we charge them for Medicaid patients?

Though I have come across instances where Medicaid accepts G codes, I suggest leave the G codes for Medicare and report the CPT codes instead for Medicaid.

Dual eligibility should kick in where Medicare auto-crosses the claims to the state medicaid program for you and should not have issues processing the secondary claim with a G-code... then again - state medicaid programs DO like having 'fun' with us dont they? LOL
