  1. I have a patient who is dysphagic due to OPD - Im not sure if this is the same as OPMD (oculopharyngeal Dystrophy) - and the closest code I have found is 359.1

    Thoughts?

    TIAA

  2. Forgot to mention - this patient is a current peg-tube status

  3. I feel this the same like OPMD. In that case, the Dx you have chosen is absolutely correct. If OPD is Oropharyngeal dystrophy, the code would be 787.22.

  4. Playing it safe, I ran it back to the doctor's attention to confirm his dictation, and he did go with the OPMD because it is a dystrophic variety.

    Thanks again Apoorba!
