Darlene Boschert, RHIA, CPC, CPC-H, CPC, have been in the medical field for over 30 years. She is currently working for Altegra Health, formerly known as The Coding Source, as a Senior Coding Specialist and Auditor.
Darlene has served on The National Advisory Board for the American Academy of Professional Coders. She is also on the advisory board for The Coding Institute, BC Advantage, The Coder’s Edge and numerous other magazines. She is a published author with many Health Information Management magazines.
Previously Darlene has worked for Ultimate Medical Academy as the Director of their Medical and Billing Program in Clearwater, Florida. She was Vice President of The Career Institute of Florida for their Medical Division for ten years in Clearwater, Florida. Darlene was the former CEO and President of Words, Inc, a medical billing, coding, transcription, and consulting business from 1984 to 1992, employing more than 45 people and serving over 40 physicians and 10 hospitals in 6 different states. She has also worked as a Practice Administrator for 12 years for an orthopedic practice.
Darlene has been a national consultant and speaker for Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross, Aetna and many more. She has also put on local and national seminars for various consulting companies throughout the past 30 years and have been a seminar and workshop presenter for the AAPC, PACHS, AMA, The Coding Institute and BC Advantage, just to name a few.
Darlene is an approved AAPC Instructor and Proctor for the American Academy of Professional Coders.
